General description of the collection: The Joseph P. Sullivan photograph collection includes three oversized albums and a stack of oversized mounted photos, all dealing with Quartermaster Corps activities and subjects taken in 1952 in Korea and Japan. The whole scope of the Quartermaster Corps dealt with supply, procurement and manufacture of materiel; Korean workers in Q.M.C. factories; the Quartermaster School in Korea; and prisoners of war being cared for in Korea. Major General Sullivan served as chief quartermaster officer in Korea in 1952 and presumably compiled the albums himself.

Fort Arbuckle was built in the Indian Territory of Oklahoma on April 19, 1851 and was formally designated a fort in June 1851. It was established by the U.S. Army to protect the region's relocated Chickasaw and Choctaw tribes from raids by Kiowa and Comanche Indians. The fort was also visited by wagon trains of Mormons and other emigrants enroute to the California gold fields.
